New Dive Boat for Qamea Resort Fiji

Qamea Resort & Spa has taken delivery of a purpose built pontoon style dive boat, The Qamea Diver. The boat was shipped to Qamea from New Zealand along with the master boat builder, Shane Clark of Hurricane Boats New Zealand, for final assembly and fine tuning in the resort's workshop. Unlike other dive boats in Fiji, The Qamea Diver has air filled aluminium pontoons on both sides. Not only does this make The Qamea Diver more seaworthy, it also affords enhanced stability and comfort. Another unique feature of The Qamea Diver is that the bow opens up into a staircase, for easy boarding directly from the beach onto boat. The Qamea Diver is 8 metres (24 feet) in length, and will be suitable for up to six divers. The will continue to use the larger Seastorm for diving as well, particularly for their charter dives to the White Wall and Rainbow Reef in the Somosomo Strait.
