The Fiji government has announced that yachties may stay longer when visiting the Fiji Islands. Previously there was a three month limit (which could be extended by a further three months on request and approval). That period has been extended to nine months, which with the extension period means that potentially yachties can stay a full year. These changes were endorsed by Cabinet on March 25th 2008.
