Fiji Family Resorts
The Fijian islands are many and varied and offer so many wonderful resort destinations. Some are couples-only and dedicated to honeymoon and wedding vacations. Some are active adventure oriented. Many, however, are perfect for families, providing spacious accommodation for everyone and lots of activities for parents as well as children. So if you are looking for a holiday for you and the kids you will find many Fiji family resorts to choose from.
When it comes to accommodation, choices are varied. Traditional hotel rooms are available on some resorts, which are often large enough to accommodate extra beds or a crib. This is often the cheapest option, as at most destinations you will find that there is NO charge for the children if they share the same room as the parents!
If you prefer some degree of separation, many hotel style resorts have inter-joining doors, so that you can occupy two rooms but as a single suite. This provides privacy and more space for the family. Many kids-friendly destinations are bure style. These are individual Fijian style 'cottages', usually one room (living and sleeping area) plus a bathroom, but special larger-sized bures are to be found and these have two separate sleeping areas. Alternatively, and depending on the age of the children, you can consider booking two bures.
When it comes to meals and activities you will find this is where there is much to be offered. A choice of restaurants from cafe style to silver service, and the option of children eating dinner earlier than Mum and Dad, means stress-free meal-times. Activities for children often includes a kids club, and usually children of all ages are considered, from 'baby-minding' right through to teenage fun and action. This allows parents to relax and enjoy their own choice of activities, such as scuba diving, tennis or even a game of golf is possible in some locations.
