This is in the form of a privately owned beach house, typically constructed of local timbers and often on poles. Pole-houses are common in the tropics as it allows breezes to flow under as well as around the house and keep everything cool on those hot humid days! With full kitchens, outside deck, surrounding tropical garden and beach nearby, this is a true home away from home. In addition to the beach rental homes, one can also find more sumptious villas, providing stylish surroundings and equipment but usually at more cost. Depending on the age of your children, a cruise on one of the Fijian cruise ships is a further option, with larger cabins available to accommodate everyone.
