It was important to us that we retain the solitude and simplicity of the island way of life, which is why we have no disco and no cable t.v. What we do have, however, is extraordinary diving and snorkeling, incredible nature walks, the greatest staff this side of the Pacific and sunrises that will take your breath away. Accommodation
Our guests are mostly couples and honeymooners. Our property is quiet and peaceful, with no more than 6 people on our secluded beach at any time. If you seek solitude & relaxation, you will love it here.

The hammocks down on the beach are the perfect retreat, ideally suited for reading, relaxing and snoozing.

COTTAGE AMENITIES Each of our bures has the following features:

King size Honeymoon Bed in the Banana Bure, queen size beds in the Mango and Papaya Bures. Imported down pillows,high thread count sheets & 1st quality inner spring mattresses (trust us, you cannot get these in Fiji!) There is a ceiling fan over each bed & a CD player with an extensive cd collection.

There is an indoor hot water shower in the Papaya Bure & private attached outdoor hot water "Honeymoon Showers" in Mango & Banana Bures. There are unobstructed views of the ocean & sunrise from your bed & verandah. Each bure has a large covered verandah with chaise lounges to lie on & watch the sunrise with your cup of tea or coffee in the early morning.

Dining & Entertainment
Frommers South Pacific Guide says, “The best food on Taveuni is at Coconut Grove”. Dinner can be served in the restaurant, on your private verandah, or down on the beach by candlelight. We are very proud of the praise that has been heaped onto our restaurant by both the travel guides & our past guests.

We serve fresh fish and seafood, organically grown vegetables (ask for a tour of our veggie garden) imported meats from New Zealand & homemade pastas. We love to prepare curries and Fijian food as well (the owner has taken cooking classes in Thailand and Indonesia- Yummy!) Bimla can whip up a batch of cookies in a flash & her chocolate brownies are way too delicious! Some nights we have the guys come play their ukuleles and sing their sweet island tunes. It is an important part of our effort to show you as much of the Fijian culture as possible while you are here with us. Our restaurant is small and intimate, set on the front verandah of our island home and overlooking the ocean. In addition, dinner can be served on your private verandah or down on the beach by candlelight.

Activities
We are in the closest location of all the resorts to the eco-tourism sites i.e. Bouma, Lavena, Waitabu and Vidawa. That also means the cost for transport will be much less than many other properties.

Taveuni is ideal for the traveler who wants to experience one of the few places left on earth that is still pristine and unaffected by the modern world. And Coconut Grove is right ’in the thick of it all’.

Nature hike to Bouma Waterfalls, The Lavena Coastal Walk, Birdwatching in Qeleni Village, Vidawa Rainforest Trip, Waitabu Marine park, Horseback Riding, Great Fishing Trips (anything from local dinghy and guides, to top professional charters), Kayaking, Village visits, and beautiful Snorkeling trips out to our reef (these leave from right here on our beach, any day you like)

Dolphin watching takes place right from your beachfront verandah.

Diving is one of the main draws to our island for many people, as the Somosomo Strait is rated as one of the top five dive locations in the world. We can arrange dive packages or daily diving. We strongly recommend pre-booking your dives, and if you want a night dive this is the place for it.

Weddings
We specialize in very simple yet elegant weddings right here on our beach. The best time is at sundown, but we have also done beautiful sunrise weddings on our beach & at Bouma Waterfalls. Our rate is $550-950 U.S.
