Vomo is a special place. Our philosophy is simple. We do not dictate a routine. We give you inspiration and the freedom to make your own choices. We bring a relaxed informality to a stylish, superior location. Vomo’s culture is based around pure and simple virtues. The imagery that surrounds Vomo is a picture-perfect paradise, a haven for the discerning traveller. These are the attributes that we look to instil into every item that carries the Vomo logo. Vomo is an Island Resort offering unique, luxurious facilities and recreational activities. Our primary focus is on providing the best possible service to each and every guest.
The jewel-like island of Vomo and its smaller island Vomo Lailai are approximately 30 km (19 miles) West of Fiji’s International Airport at Nadi. Vomo comprises 225 acres; 80 of which are manicured grounds, smooth enough for golf at one end while rising to a high plateau with plunging cliffs at the other. Coral reefs begin just offshore - spectacular and pristine, and teeming with ocean life. The island rises from the ocean to an elevation of 135 metres (445 feet), offering breathtaking 360 degrees views of the surrounding islands and ocean from the peak of Mount Vomo. Vomo enjoys a rich place in Fijian history, as it was the traditional "retreat" for the high chiefs of Western Fiji. Today, Vomo is the location of Vomo Island Resort, the "treasure chest" of relaxation and enjoyment for international visitors. Vomo Island Resort is 15 minutes by helicopter or seaplane from Nadi Airport. This direct transfer will be organised by your local travel agent through Vomo’s reservation office in Fiji.

The most important ingredient of a marriage apart from a willing couple, is the marriage licence, which is issued to couples attending in person at the Registrar Office in Nadi, from Monday to Friday only.
Depending upon Fijian flight arrival times, you may need to spend a night on the mainland. We can arrange a transfer for you and your partner to and from Nadi to complete licence formalities.
You will need to provide original copies of your Birth Certificate and your passports. If either partner has been married before, either a Decree Absolute or Death Certificate is required. If either person is under the age of 21, his or her parent must be present to sign a consent form witnessed by the Registrar.
Weddings may be held on any day of the week and staff members from Vomo Island Resort will happily attend the wedding and sign your Marriage Certificate as Witnesses if required.
