In Moorea, almost all of the dive spots are located outside the reef. There are about 18 popular spots (1 inside the lagoon and 17 outside the lagoon), and the highlights are, of course, the sharks. They look impressive and dangerous, but are typically harmless. We do a shark feeding dive every morning, so it is very easy to get great pictures of different types of sharks, including gray sharks, black tip sharks and lemon sharks. From time to time we even see tiger sharks. You might also see other fish, like the fantastic napoleon wrasses and large moray eels. The visibility is fantastic in French Polynesia.
There are also dolphins in Moorea, but you normally will only see them playing in front of your boat.
