Location
Location Location Location!! Aitutaki is a brief 40 minute flight from Rarotonga. In the immortal words of James Michener, these atolls are "among the most beautiful features of this Earth, and it’s no wonder they have lured many men." Aitutaki has captured the imaginations of many for hundreds of years. Legendary Polynesian voyager Ru made landfall on our island (Akitua Island) well over a thousand years ago.

Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa is situated on Akitua Island, and fronts the amazing Aitutaki Lagoon. From the resort, you can see firsthand the wonderful colours, deserted islands, expansive sand bars, and breathtaking views of what many consider the prettiest lagoon in the world. Accommodation
Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa offers a variety of island living options, and features private individual bungalows: Seven very unique and luxurious Overwater Bungalows (the only overwater bungalows in the Cook Islands), five spacious and airy Deluxe Beachfront Bungalows, nine Beachfront Bungalows, and 16 Garden Bungalows. Our newest addition is the Villa Te Arau - a Private Pool Villa that is simply the most luxurious accommodation in the Cook Islands.

All of the private, thatched-roof bungalows feature air-conditioning, ceiling fans, TV/DVD player, CD player, private verandahs with comfortable furniture, king or queen size bed, fully stocked mini-bar, in-room safe, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities, daily housemaid service and room service.

Our Overwater Bungalows are located over the lapping waters of the lagoon. The spacious interior is decorated in a traditional Polynesian motif, and feature a romantic, private, open-air garden shower, as well as direct access to the lagoon.

The Deluxe Beachfront Bungalows are situated directly on the beach and feature unobstructed views of the lagoon. The raised bedroom takes advantage of the magnificent lagoon view, with champagne white sand and your own private hammock.

The Beachfront Bungalows are located just steps from the edge of the lagoon with views to the main island. The Garden Bungalows are set amongst lush tropical gardens and soft white sand.
