Our 17 room boutique hotel & villas is located on the beachfront at the village of Titikaveka, and offers magical views of the lagoon, reef and vast Pacific Ocean beyond. The six brand new beachfront 2 bedroom villas are located 5 mins drive from the hotel but on same private white sandy beach in the village of Vaimaanga.

Moana Sands Beachfront Hotel & Villas are located on Rarotonga’s stunning southern coast and enjoys a prime location on the shores of a long stretch of idyllic white sand beach overlooking the sparkling pristine waters of a crystal clear lagoon - one of the premier spots on Rarotonga for snorkelling and swimming!

Here the soft sand of the 10km beach is so white that you can walk on it without shoes or sandals - even in the heat of the day. And there is every chance that at 8 am yours will be the first footprints!

The main town of Avarua is just 15km away. This takes a comfortable 20 minutes by car, taxi or scooter and a little longer by public bus, which stops directly outside Moana Sands foyer. The airport is 20 minutes by car, taxi or bus.

Accommodation
Each of our 12 Beachfront Studios and our 5 Beachfront Deluxe Studios offer a small kitchenette with microwave, electric frypan, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and coffee maker and are air-conditioned for your comfort. All rooms feature IDD phone, clock/radio, hairdryer, separate ensuite bathroom with shower, security boxes and a private patio or balcony from which to enjoy the stunning view.

Our Beachfront Deluxe Studios are larger in size than the Beachfront Studios and their location on the top level of the hotel offers fantastic panoramic ocean views with a mountain vista upon entry.

The six brand new Villas (opened June 2009) have two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Beautiful modern kitchen with open plan lounge, dining. TV/DVD, ipod station, music system. The lounge area faces lovely wide patio area with outdoor furniture, & beach lounger. Walk directly out onto a private white sand beach, swim in the warm waters of the lagoon at your doorstep.

Dining & Entertainment
At the Hotel, the on-site ’Paw Paw Patch’ Restaurant & Bar provides an intimate relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a tasty breakfast (tropical breakfast is included in your rate) or a delicious dinner. A fully licensed bar provides an extensive range of wines, beers, spirits and juices, plus a variety of mouth-watering tropical cocktails! A refreshing treat after a hard day in the sun!! At the Villas, the well known local Vaima restaurant is just 3 minutes walk and a modern mini-supermarket is directly opposite the villas.

We also offer great beach BBQ facilties - free to inhouse guests. Here you can enjoy a tasty BBQ meal at any time of the day.

Facilities
Guest facilities include complimentary snorkelling equipment and kayaks, along with some friendly tips on where the best spots are to encounter the colourful array of friendly tropical fish just beyond your door!

For those who need to stay in touch with the rest of the world, we have an internet booth available for use. These are prepaid at the standard market rate for internet connections in the Cook Islands.

A big screen TV, video and DVD player is also located in the foyer and is available for guest use free of charge.

Several provisions shops stocking a range of tinned food, fresh bread, toiletries and tobaccos are within easy strolling distance to the hotel.

Our reception desk can arrange most island tours and activities along with rental cars / jeeps / scooters / bicycles, all at competitive prices.

The village of Titikaveka - with its historical limestone Church is only a short walk away and there are several walking tracks, bush treks and beach walks in the area.
