Location
Moody’s Namena is the only facility on the island nestled within the Namena Barrier Reef which recently became the Namena Marine Reserve. Beautiful plastic tags are sold for F$25 modeled on the Bonaire Marine Park.

Accommodation
Five of the six hexagonal wood and bamboo bures, designed to accommodate a couple, are perched on cliff sixth bure is on the beach. Each has a panoramic view of reefs, beaches and distant islands. Floor to ceiling sliding louvered doors open entire walls, allowing for spectacular views and to take advantage of cooling tradewinds. Your bure is dominated by a king canopy bed; his/her bathrooms joined by a large shower. Romantic gas lighting, coffee/tea making facilities, hot water for showers are controlled by alternate energy sources.

Dining & Entertainment
The large hexagonal bure, ’vale ni kana’ - or clubhouse, is our central gathering place consisting of lounge area, dining, self-serve bar and houses a large paperback library. Here you will find books on fish and coral identification, birds, local culture & traditions. Dining is usually communal and a time to share the day’s experiences with fellow guests. However, for our romantics or honeymoon couples who prefer to dine alone, our staff are happy to set up a table on the patio. Meals are included in the daily tariff. Our kitchen staff bake breads, pastries, cakes,homemade soups daily and can cater to your dietary requirements.

We grow our own bananas, pineapples, lemons/limes, papaya, soursop, sugar apples, heart of palm, coconuts and other tropical fruits and vegetables - some are seasonal and may not be available year round but we can purchase from the markets in Savusavu or Nadi.

Our cuisine is a blend of local and international fare and staff are happy to share or swap recipes.

Activities
We have a range of activities to keep you occupied; however, we don’t have organized activities, leaving you the choice to do as much - or as little - each day. Complimentary activities include kayaking, snorkeling, birdwatching, beach volleyball,hiking; or choose a paperback from our large library and lie on the beach or in a hammock and relax the day away. Scuba Diving and fishing are available.

Remember, the resort is open year round, especially during turtle-nesting season (November to March) which is always an attraction. During our two closed months, March & April, we do major maintenance and refurbishing.

Diving
Scuba diving is available ; the only requirement is you must already be a certified diver. The reef ecosystem of the Namena Barrier Reef is known for its prolific marine life and corals and boasts some of Fiji’s most diversified dive sites-from sheer walls, swim-throughs, bommies (seamounts)teeming with hundreds of various marine critters. Since becoming a marine reserve, fish species and numbers have increased. Colorful tags are sold for F$25 as a souvenir of your Namena visit to its waters.

Honeymoons
This private island is a secluded paradise with white sand beaches. The various ’bure’ sites were chosen carefully and spaced hundreds of yards apart to provide the ultimate in privacy. With only 6 guest bures on the island, and 6 beaches, you will find privacy for your romantic tropical honeymoon. For our romantics or honeymoon couples who prefer to dine alone, our staff are also happy to set up a table on the patio. Complimentary bottle of sparkling wine is given to our honeymoon couples.
