Accommodation
No day trippers - this Fiji Resort with just 10 bures, is for guests only.

Navini offers you 3 bure types to choose from - all are beachfront and have lots of windows to catch the sea breeze. Each has a private bathroom, a queensize bed, refrigerator, mini bar, overhead fans and tea/coffee making facilities.

Dining & Entertainment
Low key is probably the phrase. The soft harmonies of the staff singers and guitars in the evening, with coconut shells of the traditional drink, kava, while the vidi vidi (say ’vindy vindy’) board gets a workout, laughter and conversation are the staples.

About once a week, Navini has a Fijian night with a big ’lovo’ dinner taken steaming from the underground oven.

The night’s kava ceremony gives way to Fijian singing by the staff, and then to a session of laughter and all-join-in dancing of what is known traditionally as a ’tara- la- la’.

Some evenings everybody gathers around a beach bonfire shooting sparks at the millions of stars in unpolluted skies and roasting coconuts on the fire.

Navini’s open air dining room takes advantage of the surroundings; tropical gardens, blue waters, sunset-tinted clouds. Lively conversation is punctuated by waves lapping a few metres away on the sand.

Navini offers a tantalising selection of innovative, traditional and Fijian dishes, with choices at all meals. Dinner includes appetizer, soup, a variety of main courses including vegetarian, and desserts. Fresh seafood and tropical fruits are always there, but never the only alternative. Everything the Navini kitchen serves is prepared there, from fresh baked breads to home made ice creams.

The dining room is fully licensed, with a wide selection of cocktails, good Fijian beer and a broad selection of wines.

Private candlelight - and starlight - dinners can be set up at a flower-laden table for two, on the beach in front of your bure.

Activities
At Navini, your time is your own. A major decision is whether to take the daily trip to the traditional village where some of the staff live, trolling or dropline fishing over one of the reefs, snorkeling or scuba diving around bombies and over bright coral walls, visiting other island resorts or joining a shopping trip to Nadi town. From the island, whenever the mood strikes, you can take out the hobie-cat sailboat, borrow snorkeling gear to watch the colourful fish, try the sailboard, spyboard and canoes, or the new seacycles. The afternoon volleyball game is an option. So is lying under a thatched umbrella reading a book from the resort library or for a really relaxing experience, try a Fijian style massage.

There is no swimming pool on Navini. We offer instead a beautiful, refreshing, calm and much more interesting sea, just a few steps away.

There is, however, the opportunity to go Scuba diving, water skiing or sports fishing; the only activities for which you’ll pay a modest fee.

Honeymoons
Navini is an idyllic setting for romance. The gardens, the intimacy of the island and its fringed beach and warm waters, the spectacular sunsets and the mix you desire of privacy and the relaxed and personal holiday life on Navini Island.

The Deluxe Honeymoon bure can be yours, with its own private courtyard set among flowering plants and an open-air spa bath directly off the bedroom.

Inside features a master bedroom with queensize bed, and a sitting room with eminently comfortable hand-carved and polished coconut wood furniture.

Honeymoon couples can have a special dinner on their own under the stars in the courtyard, or enjoy your meal and champagne by candlelight in your sitting room.

A boat can be chartered for a private picnic lunch and a swim at a deserted island.

Weddings
Couples dream of marrying in paradise; Navini makes the dream come true. Think of choosing your marriage ceremony on a broad beach at sunset, or under the palms surrounded by tropical blossoms, and having the traditional hand-woven mat on which the marriage is performed as a keepsake.

Think of pure Fijian voices raised in their joy for you, and a special song of celebration at the presentation of your choice of wedding cake.

Opt if you like, for a traditional Fijian ceremony, dressed in ceremonial tapa cloth costumes and garlands of fresh flowers.

Another choice: between celebrating with old or new friends at a festive lovo dinner with song and dance or moving to your bure for a romantic candlelight dinner for two.
