The Fiji Islands is well-known by divers from around the world. The rich currents of the South Pacific ocean feed the waters around and through the islands and reefs, creating superb underwater scuba diving experiences. Famous reefs include the Rainbow Reef between Taveuni and Vanua Levu, the Great Astrolabe Reef near Kadavu, and the Beqa reefs and lagoon south of Pacific Harbour on the mainland.
